Autism Ontario is happy to announce that the 2025 One-to-One Summer Support Worker Reimbursement Fund is now open for application!

They will accept all applications received by May 31, 2025, and have a random draw to determine eligibility.
The One-to-One Summer Support Worker Reimbursement Fund is available to Ontario families of autistic children or youth who retain the services of a one-to-one worker to accompany their child to a camp or program or out on community outings.

Ontario government, CHEO break ground on new integrated treatment centre

A ceremony was held at the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) Thursday morning to break ground on a new integrated treatment centre.

The new, fully accessible, state-of-the-art children’s treatment centre will provide integrated and coordinated care under one roof to better serve children and youth living with complex medical, developmental and behavioural needs, connecting them to the care they need, closer to home, the Ontario government said in a news release Thursday.

✨ Girls’ Social Skills Group – Now Enrolling! ✨

Girls often experience social interactions differently than boys, navigating complex friendships, unspoken social rules, and group dynamics. Our Girls’ Social Skills Group is a fun and supportive space where girls can build confidence, strengthen friendships, and develop key communication skills in a way that speaks to their unique experiences.

Through interactive activities like role-playing, team-building games, and group discussions, participants will learn:
How to recognize healthy friendships and social cues
Emotional regulation and self-esteem strategies
The unspoken rules of social interactions and group dynamics

Wednesdays, 6:30-7:30 PM (April 30 – 6 weeks)

LDAO-C Learning Center – 450-1547 Merivale Road

Cost: $250

Designed for children with learning disabilities and/or ADHD, this program provides a safe and structured space to practice social skills in a supportive, all-girls environment. The final session wraps up with a fun social event to celebrate progress!
